I'm Sensitive About My Sh*! - Everything Ain't For Everybody

I am sensitive about my sh*! Is what I know. I keep quiet on those that express their negative opinion about my efforts, although I do take well to constructive criticism, I refuse to change my course because of some negative feedback.  I think allowing negativity in any form to take you out of your character is just plain wrong and I refuse to even entertain the thought.  So with that being said, when I hear someone say, that artist is garbage or their music sucks, I'm reminded of the many differences and choices we have in this world. I may not like avocados or eat pork while someone else thinks those things are the best thing since sliced bread.  I may not choose to listen to trap music or country western, but others blast that music all day. My point my friend is simply "Everything ain't for everybody" ...

However, one must understand the power of the tongue and in this case social media. I would be wrong if I said that I did not care about putting out negative vibes against a fellow artist. DJ. Blogger, etc.  I simply would validate my clap back with the numbers (/fan/views/spins/likes/comments/...the stats)...they simply speak for them self

Count Your Blessings: Everything Happens for a Reason They Say...

Today while sitting in the park waiting for my girls to get out of school, I met a woman who shared the most profound story with me. Her story touched me so much that it inspired me to share it with you. Her name is Isabella and she gave me permission to tell you her story...

She started off telling me that she is a born again christian, but she never thought she'd become one of those "Jesus talking ladies,,,those women that gave Jesus credit for everything that happens in their life"  BUT...Her past life was not one to be proud of, so she said...She was on drugs, lost everything, blah, blah, blah...but 5 years ago she found Jesus and got to know him for herself..... (at this part of her story, I said to myself if she asks me for money I'm gonna scream) But something told me to sit there and listen to her story...So, she explained that she is not financially able to do a lot of the things she would like to, but Jesus always provides her with what she needs.... So the best part of her story is.... Her car is in the shop so she had been taking the bus and yesterday she didn't have enough bus fare to pick up her son from school. So, she got on the bus (the same bus she's been taking for a week) and asked the driver if he would let her ride and she promised to pay him back on her way home and the driver did, but gave her a look like he didn't believe her. So anyway, she went on to say that a friend gave them a ride home yesterday, so she wasn't able to pay back the fare.  Today, though she had just enough money to pay her fare as well as her fare from yesterday. Just as soon as she made up her mind to do just that, the devil put on her mind to not pay that fare from yesterday since that was all the money she had....well just then a gust of wind came and blew her money out of her hand and she had to run around the park chasing it trying to grab it.... After a few minutes of this, the wind died down and she was able to pick-up all of the money. You see I walked up just as she had collected all of her money, and I thought to myself..."why is this lady counting those dollar bills over and over?..."

What do you think was her lesson?  The fact that she shared her story with me, became her testimony and a lesson for me as well.  You see, earlier today I found myself complaining about my personal situation, how I want things to be better for me and blah blah.... but I was reminded today, that my needs have been taken care of everyday! I may not have or get everything I want, but I definitely have my needs met.  I believe Isabella (unbeknownst to her) was a messenger angel sent along my path to remind me of where my blessing flow.  Isabella called her "God story" small and stupid....I say it was one of the most beautiful stories I've heard, because in her eyes I saw hope and faith and in her story I found my lesson...My blessing!!!   Thank you Isabella!!
